Is the Romanian language very similar to Spanish? I want to learn and I was wondering if anybody out there speaks both languages and how they learned it?

Romanian and Spanish are both romance languages, but I'd say Romanian is closer to Italian than spanish.

Romanian is similar to Spanish in some extent, but not VERY similar :) However, it's not difficult to learn. Most businessmen coming in here and developing their brand on the Romanian market learn conversational Romanian in about 3-6 months, depending on dedication and necessities.

I have a friend from Romania, and she says that it very similar to all the Romance languages.
