Come on dude... you already know the answer. All things have their time and the funky clothes, haircut, piercing thing is so yesterday. The country is swinging towards being conservative and think about it....... girls are attracted to whit and self confidence. Not having to rely on outside things to be different. And think about this....... how many girls are going to feel comfortable taking you home to Mom and Dad? Girls are all about social groups and want to be popular and you would be an impediment. You are cutting down on your chances all of the way around.
I was into punk in the 80s. What I am saying you will learn. You can look conservative and still be into it. You want attention? Well look around you and see what everybody else is wearing. Drop the crap and I gaurantee they will come flocking around since you made such a radical change.

Are there no punk chicks at your school? If that's the case, you need to decide which is more important to you: the punk rocker image or girls. Once you've answered that question, the solution to your problem should become clear.

i dont know the majority of punk rockers are just sheep following the crowd, but if it is your personal style and expresses who you are dont change yourself, people should except you for you and if they cant deal with that they arent worth your time or breath.
And the same for the girl you like, she obvioulsy cant have that much respect for you if shes that shallow minded she goes with the majority opinion, joins in and begins to hate you for basically wearing some material she just isnt worth it.
I think punk rockers are hot.. just not like over the top rockers on the edge of becoming goths with long leather black coats and loads of chains dangling.. cause yeah i dont like that, but thats my personal opinion. id personally get to know a person beyond the clothes.. as long as im not too intimidated..
basically dont change, be you and be yourself no matter what.. youl eventually find the girl that loves you being you

If you are a punk rocker and are enjoying it and If you are not hurting anyone or yourself by being a punk rocker- Then who the hell cares what anyone thinks or says. Live your own life and if someone doesn't like it- Screw em!

i think you should just be who you want to be. i love punk rockers and alot of the girls im friends with do too so i guess if you want those girls in particular to like you then change but if you are looking for a decent girl in general just look elsewhere.

First punk rock died around 1983
most "punk" bands now are no better than he Glam rock banks of the 80's...
If you are still dressing like Sid vicious (you know the vest the safety pins the Doc martins and Union jack flag hand painted on your jeans.....well then that's why people find you comical...

Well, if you're happy with the way you look, you'll have to face the consequences. And you don't sound too happy about losing the friends, either. Figure out which is more important to you, the look or the girls, than you can decide where to go from there.

Well if you woke up one day and was like, I wanna be punk, then I can see why they would turn on you for not being true to yourself. But if it's always been part of your nature, or you've gradually headed towards that direction and they've remained intolerant about your choices, then I suggest you talk to them about it. I mean, unless you are making all these derisive comments about their lifestyles compared to theirs, than I see no reason for them to reject you. Tell them that.
