Wow i used to do this all the time. It makes you look kinda exotic! Make sure your hair is wet but not sopping and then get a good amount of gel . . . or mousse, flip your head upside down, run your fingers through your hair and start going around your head grabbing handfuls of your hair and just "scrunch" it against your scalp. Do this until you have the amount of curls you want and then put on some hairspray. If you need touch ups L'Oreal has this great spray gel that sprays out like hairsprray and you can apply it where you need it. Be sure to play around with different brands and different products to see which works best with your hair.

I have straight hair, so when I used to scrunch my hair, I used Aussie's " spunch spray" I found the Aerosol can worked much better than the pump bottle.

I have poker straight hair... so after a shower I use Loreal Spiral mousse. Then I use an extra hold styling mousse by Aussie. I just apply to hair, and scrumch it. Just take sections of hair, and bunch it at the roots with your hands. When you get your look, apply a good spritz of hairspray... I use Aussie Duo in high shine, and extra hold. You will have to mix and match with your own products to get your look.

You'll want to put a quarter-sized amount of curl gel on your palm. (I use Garnier Fructis Hard Curl Gel.) Rub your hands together. Flip your head upside down and evenly distribute gel throughout hair. Then start at the ends, grab a handful of hair, and take it up to the top of your head. Repeat for all hair.
