The diastolic (37) is very low. I would not worry too much as she is already in the hospital and being monitored. If her blood count is low they will probably give her a transfusion. The more she gets hydrated (in her case probably by IV) then her body will work its way back to peeing and kidney functioning. God bless, she's in the hospital so I'm sure they'll do everything they need to for her.

It is low blood pressure. If she is dehydrated she wouldn't be peeing alot would she? If she is in the hospital for pneumonia, she is probably running a high fever which would cause dehydration. You need to ask the doctor or nurse what these results translate to as far as your mom's health. Not knowing is enough to make you mad (crazy) so, don't let them go without you feeling like you know what is going on with your mom. Also, dear, take comfort from the fact your mom is in the best place she can be for quick medical care. Hope she is feeling better & if you don't mind I will say a prayer for her recovery & your peace.

80/37 is extremly too low. But it may be because she is laying in the hospital bed extremly sick. This is only my opinion but it seems once she is fully hydrated again her kidneys should start acting more, and normally. The blood Count can be due to the pneumonia. I know infection like that messes with your blood count. If you are really concerned have the doctor or even the nurse explain it. But all of those symtoms really go together. You aren't going to have much kidney function if you dont have anything in you to "pee" out. Dont be worried and leave it to GOD!

It means your mom is very ill. But she is at the hospital, so try not to worry yourself - they know how to treat it all...
80/37 is very low BP. Normal is 110/70. Dehydration often causes kidney failure - so if they can hydrate her (IV), her kidneys will start to function again, and she will start peeing again. Low blood count means low levels of white blood cells which fight off infection...
Try not to worry - YOU NEED TO BE STRONG FOR YOUR MOM.

The blood pressure is the blood intake and outtake of the heart. The normal blood pressure is 120/80 so her's is VERY VERY low...that's probably because she's sick, but she's in the hospital so hopefully the doctors will take care of her.

hi,her blood pressure is very low, normal blood pressure is 129/80, this blood pressure make her kidney filtration very low so she doesn't pee, and this is big problem because wastes are accumulating in her body, and she can get renal failure which is very serious disease. about her blood count if you meant that she has low red blood cells that mean that she has anemia,if low white blood cells she can very fast get any infection, and if low platelets she can bleed easily. she should take saline intravenously also she should take blood . but i don't think that all this is because of pneumonia?! anyway i am very sorry if i upset you, take care of her.

It is very low. But she's in the best place - a hospital where she's being monitored.
A few years ago, I had a disease and my kidneys stopped functioning, and my BP was also low. Pray that she makes a complete recovery. God bless her.

having pneumonia causes extreme fatigue. when someone is weak they can't nor do they want to eat/drink, which causes dehydration. the low kidney function is related to the dehydration and you can blame some of the low blood count too. they will treat her with antibiotics and if the pneumonia isn't too severe, she will be getting better soon. you can help her to recovery by encouraging her to cough and deep breath. this will loosen the congestion in her lungs and help her expectorate. she probably has iv fluids going continuous to keep her hydrated, along with some respiratory treatments to aid in loosening congestion and open clogged breathing tubes. good luck

Wow. She IS sick! Being dehydrated will do that. Once they get her re-hydrated, she is going to feel a LOT better. And she'll respond to other medications for her pneumonia, too. Her blood count is low because she has an infection.

Hope she's better soon. She is exactly where she needs to be.
