It will continue as long as you allow it. If you get a squirt bottle of water, and spray her when she start to get into something, it will deter her. Don't get her chew toys that resemble REAL objects. And, remember, just as if you had a toddler in the house, WATCH every move they make for their own safety. She is still very new to this world.

This will end up costing you a lot of money if you leave your pup unattended. I have an 18 month old pup and she would still chew on my furniture if I left her alone to roam the apartment. It usually takes a few years for them to growe out of it. Use a kennel when you aren't home or when you are sleeping. That will atleast minimize the problem. I lost my whole deposit because of my pup. Just something you deal with when you take on such a big responsibility. Good luck!

A lot of this will depend on how much you try to keep her from doing it. I would definitely get some bitter apple spray at petsmart. Spray it on your furniture legs, or whatever else she is going after. It sounds like you are doing good with the chew toys, but she just needs to stay away from the other stuff. If she isn;t crate trained, i would try that until she matures a little.

They mainly chew because they are teething or bored, generally they will get the last of their teeth in at around 8 to 9 months so after that you should see a slow down, unless he likes to chew for the fun of it. I had a friend that told me to put hot sauce on the surface of what they are chewing, I never did it but a co worker did and now his dog licks the hotsauce off the furnature and barks for more, go figure.

It depends on the breed. Labs and Boston Terriers, for example, are known to ace like puppies for up to 2 years. My dog is about 1 1/2 and she still shews on blankets, furniture...you name it. SHe even checked up the carpet in my old apartment, and I had to pay to get it replaced when I moved out.
There is something called No Chew spray...I think they even sell it at Wal-Mart. You could spray that on everything. If that doesn't work, you could always put her in a cage or kennell when you're not around.

Depends on the dog, but most quit chewing the "whole world" at about two years old. Put her in a kennel, it is for her own good, she might chew an electrical cord, that would be really bad.
Buy her lots of toys, it does help.

Well I have a 10 month old puppy and she still chews on everything.she isn't as bad as she was 5 months ago but she still chews on lots of stuff. And other than that i don't really know what you can do because my dog is a strictly outdoor dog.But I think dogs chew throughout their lives somewhat so hopefully she'll outgrow the major chewing.

Some pups do not stop chewing for 2 years. I pray that you do not have a lab. They are the worst to chew.

usually they stop at about a year, but some dogs will always chew. put the dog in a crate or smaller confined room if you can't be there to supervise. And don't give Rawhide, it's really bad for their tummy.
