Have you ever tried spreading the bread with the pb and j and then toasting it in a toaster oven (or something similar)? Hot and gooey and sooo yummy!
I personally prefer white bread, crunchy pb and grape jelly. Also, for people without a toaster oven, if you cut a pita bread in half, you can spread the pb and j on the sides inside the pita bread and toast the pita with the cut side up. I do this at work, and it's delicious!

I like my pb&j sandwich on wheat bread toasted with Smuckers Strawberry jam. It has to be Smuckers, and a tall glass of milk.

i have always liked my pb& j with honey out bread, peter pan peanut butter, and smuckers grape jelly. lately i have tried toasting my bread befoer i add the peanut butter. it is really good, and the bread doesn't tear up when you spread the nutty peanut butter on it.
