Do you mean "is there a blood supply to the artery itself"? If that is your question then the answer is Yes. Arterioles that supply the actual wall of the artery (or vein) are called "vasa vasorum"

Heart is supplied by 2 main coronary arteries (actually three) : Left and right coronary arteries. Heart supplies blood to the whole body through Aorta (the largest artery) which when arises from the Left ventricle (largest chamber ) of the heart moves upward, and is called the Ascending Aorta. Actually Aorta has two parts : Ascending, THe Arch and Descending. Coronary arteries arises from the Ascending part of Aorta, which directly enters the Myocardium (muscular architecture ) of heart and supplies it. I hope u wud be satisfied by this answer. Thank u. I am an MD. Aine is correct. The blood supply of the artery itself is called the "vasa vasorum" which is Latin for "the vessels of the vessels". I hope this helps.

As far as I'm aware, arteries are directly connected to the heart.
