Are there different types of pipes out there? How do they function? Is there a "best" way to use one?

You put the weed in the bowl, you put your finger over the carb, you light the weed while inhaling, let your finger off the carb to clear the smoke out of the pipe and into your lungs. Hold for a few seconds, then exhale.

Well first question ... what are you going to be smoking out of this pipe?
Theres all kinds of pipes out there, glass, wooden, and metal... the metal is not that great because the pipe gets hot quickly, the glass is the best (my opinion) and well wooden thats OG status.
So go with glass, you want to make sure the bowl is deep enough, the hole is not to big or else you will eat what you are smoking.
