I am looking for some low calorie foods to eat. I need to lose a few pounds from baby gain. I am exercising, but I would like to adjust my diet as well, maybe to speed things up a bit more.

I could also use good low calorie recipes, if anyone has one.

I know celery is a good food because you burn more calories chewing it, than it has calories in it. But its not filling.

Instead of radically changing your diet, try cutting back on the amount you eat at each meal and even breaking up your meals into four meals that are less than the three you normally have altogether. Not only does this help you cut down on the total number of calories, but by eating more frequently, it helps you from giving in to the cravings that strict dieting causes.

Otherwise, vegetables with lots of water in them are always a good idea. Celery, I think actually take more calories to eat than it gives nutritionally. Plus some "hunger pains" are actually thirst pains (if there is such a term), which we sometimes confuse for hunger. So making sure you get your eight eight ounce glasses of water a day will certainly help keep down the craving to eat more.

If you do go for straight dieting, may I recommend mints (sugar free is best) as an appetite suppressant?

Any vegetables are great. You could get Orville Redenbauchers 100 calorie mini bags. I have one in the afternoon or evening with a can of diet pop, it really satisfies that empty feeling.
You could also drink a glass full of water with a fiber supplement like Metamucil before you eat your meals, this will help you feel fuller longer.
As for meals, boneless skinless chicken breasts are the easiest way to stay low cal and low fat. You can make them various ways.
I like to fillet them (to form a pocket) and stuff them with a mixture of fat free ricotta cheese, spinach (frozen, thawed and squeezed), and a little garlic and onion. I put them in a cake pan (or ceramic or glass baking dish) Pour a can of "Del Monte's Basil Oregano and Garlic Diced Tomatoes" and a can of tomato sauce mixed with some Italian seasoning over top of the chicken. Sprinkle on some fat free mozzarella cheese. Cover with tin foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. You can make some whole wheat pasta and squash, zucchini, or broccoli to go with it. I usually eat about half of one stuffed chicken.
Good luck, and remember fiber is your friend!

Try unbuttered popcorn and here a recipe from weight watchers- Take a bag of oyster crackers, mix in a half a cup canola oil and a pack of ranch dressing mix, and a tablespoon dried dill. Toss in an air tight container and let sit over night. It's really tasty and not bad for you. Also pretzels are a good choice. Good luck!

I like a big salad with just a little vinaigrette dressing. Also, oatmeal. Very filling and not high in calories.

Fibre keeps you full longer and if you have it with a heathier bit of protein and some veggies or fruit, you are doing pretty good.

Oat meal and grits with little, or no, sugar or butter. Add bran to everything. These foods expand in your stomach.
