Depends on where you live. In the US, you can take it at 16 if you meet certain requirements, otherwise I think it's 18. In Canada, it can vary, but there are no exceptions from what I understand; you have to be 18 or 19.

Depends on what state you are from. I took mine when I was 18, but only because I home schooled and graduated at 18. But there were a couple 16 year olds there.

I live in MA and was a GED instructor about 8 years ago. Back then, you could be any age as long as you weren't in school. The test has changed and is a hell of a lot harder. So if it's you or if you're trying to find out for someone...it's going to take time and study to pass!

Yes, but you might need permission to take it from the board of education. And you may also be required to take GED prep classes.
