Silly Putty: No it's not. All I have to do is look out the window and see men. I can't see god.

That is the same as saying, if there were no written records of history, would you believe in man?

As a Christian, it's hard to say...I think I would, though. The Bible tells us how to live and things that Jesus said. there is a verse in the book of Romans, chapter 1, verse 20, that says that God's "invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse"! This means that creation and everything He has made are supposed to show us that it just didn't happen by chance-- it happened because God created it. So, I think I would believe in God if there were no Bible because it is so plain that He created the world! Look at the complexity of everything-- what's inside a leaf, science, years of history....wow!!!
so yeah, i would definitely believe in God :) thanks for the great and thought-provoking question!!!

I believed in God when I was three years old and noticed that the sky and clouds, trees and flowers were so beautiful and glorious and had to be made by a Creator, an Artist. That is when I suddenly wanted to be an artist and I have been all of my life.
I didn't meet the Divine Artist until I was 24 yrs old but I knew God was real. I never read a bible until I got saved either.

YES! My Ancestors - Native Indians believe[d] in The Sky Father and The Earth Mother: GOD: The Creator: The Great "I AM": The Eternal Sky God as well as other names chosen by the diversity of the Tribes. How could we be so arrogant to think that the Immortal God who created this world would not have created other beings on infinate worlds. So YES I WOULD BELIEVE!

Yes, I think that I would. Here's why! I do not really read the Bible anymore, although I should. But, I was brought up as a Chrisitan. But, as an young adult you begin to ask questions about what you think and believe.

I have gone through things in my life where I saw and felt that God was present in guiding my in making decisions and helping me through things. He is the strength when you do not have it. Even if you do not know much about the Bible. to know that he is there and looking out for you, having someone to turn to, even if you cannot see him. It is incredible. You need to experience these things for yourself, in order to have a real conviction.

It does not matter what I or anyone else says, you need to believe in what you believe in. I just pray that you will find it!

Without a doubt. Even without a Bible, there is absolutely no way on earth that you can look at the intricasies of a flower, or a molecule or the complexities of how the human body (or any life form for that matter) is made without knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that a Creator had to make it. The complexities of space and our weather system, life as we know it - it is physically impossible for these things to have accidentally evolved to the point of perfection or near perfection and high functioning ability that we have. Impossible. Try experimenting with accidentally making something. Can't happen. Scientists have to CREATE experiments to duplicate things that have happened naturally because the things that have happened naturally have done so only because a supreme being, GOD, has made it happen that way. There is no other way, scientifically or otherwise, that things in existence could exist, with their complexities and all, WITHOUT the presence of a Creator to bring them into existence. Common sense and logical reasoning tell me this, even without my Christian upbringing and faith and my belief in the Bible as the Word of God.

I am of The True Christian Faith and I did not even own a Bible on the day of my Salvation. I had not read in one in a long time. I did know of the stories because of my grandparents taking me to church when I was young but I did not have any need for bibles for 40 years. The Faith of those of The True Christian Faith is based on the absolute knowledge of God's existance, not upon The Bible. The Bible is for those of The Faith not for non-believers. Only those open to the leading of The Holy Spirit will find, in The Bible, What God has for them there.

"believing" in God is not the same as having Faith in Him. the majority of humans "believe" in some kind of "god"... but there is only One True God and The Bible contains His Word and Will for those who have True Faith in Him....But you do not need a Bible to Know The True God, or to receive His free gift of Salvation.

Yes, I did not understand the bible until after I had a personal experience with God's Holy Spirit. Once my faith was solid then I could benefit from studying the Bible.

Dear Meat machine, Yes. We have to remeber that the arly Jews and christians did not have a Bible, it had not yet been compiled and printed and distributed, and alot of the lowly of the city of ancient isreal, could not read. Ieven though I have the BIBle, would belive, eve if there werent. The salvation I recieved neither of the words of men or by revelation of man, But only by the Lord Jesus Christ. he alone is the reedemer, and he is the one who reveals himself and brings us into a relationship with him. The IBle is the instruction book, it is very important, But we must never base our conversion on the BIble alone, but upon the rock of our salvation, Jesus Christ.
God Bless

Of course . Did the indians have a bible ?Did Noah have a Bible ?But he was the only one saved from flood , with his family.Because there are other ways to know God . God used to show up or talk to the most faithfull and everybody knew there was a god , from Adam and Eve..The Bible is only the warning, a kind of constitution , and of course , the history..Is a warning for those who didn't listen to God and fell into temptation...And God also talks inside our minds and souls ..He talks in opinions , and He talks in feelings..So we must listen to Him .

Yes, I believed in God before I believed the Bible. My friend is Agnostic, more or less a Diest and he believes in God without the Bible.
