wouldn't he have seen in advance how organised religion would hijack his teachings and use it for brutal mass manipulation and destruction (think crusades, inquisition et al)?

I mean, he IS supposed to be omniscient? Why didn't he prevent this? (and don't give me that free will crap, no sane parent lets his children run amok and kill and plunder in order to preserve their 'free will')

Apostle, not to be rude, but if God has chosen you to spread the word why didn't he give you better control over spelling and grammar?

There was a time when God didn't even know he was going to send Jesus. Consider this quote: "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have created them." That's in Genesis 6, so at one time God didn't know he would send Jesus, and really didn't know what he was going to do, he was just mixed up and confused.

There was a rebellion in the age before we entered the flesh. Lucifer rebelled and drew a third of God's children away.

God knew the score. And He knew the methodology and the pattern of revolt would repeat. In this flesh age the reality of death is taught and the reality of obedience through faith. Love is demonstrated as are the consequences of evil, the suffering and misery can be observed and experienced.

People must learn and must choose if they are going to love Father or not. Christ is the provision to return to the necessary state of innocency for those who choose life.

There is much prophecy about how religous charlatans would hijack Christianity. It's kind of what Satan did in the first place, fooling people with lies to rebel. It's going to get real intense here on earth and now is the time to learn so as not to be deceived by Satan when he arrives.

God will use Satan as "the rod of mine anger" against those who are careless concerning true worship.

see Isaiah 10:5

the fulfillment of the Assyrian prophecy and the anti-christ prophecy are one and the same.

"The tree of knowledge"... To which the deceitful serpent falsely attributed the power of imparting a superior kind of knowledge, beyond that which God was pleased to give.

Book Of Genesis
Chapter 3
22 And he said: Behold Adam is become as one of us, knowing good and evil: now, therefore, lest perhaps he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever.

"Behold Adam"... This was spoken by way of reproaching him with his pride, in affecting a knowledge that might make him like to God.

To differentiate between the children of the Kingdom and the children of the Devil, between true and false Christianity.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The majority of human history is show us humans that we are not able to rule ourselves successfully. The human race (in the persons of Adam & Eve) removed itself from under God's rule because they thought they could do better without him.

He is fair, so he has given us several thousand years to make our case. The time is almost gone before he restores it to what it should be.

Dear Acid zebra, God did Know this and Jesus spoke extensivly about False Prophets and false teachers. he say that they come as wolfs in sheeps clothing and that we should test every spirit to be sure it is from God. But, God allows these other religions and denominations to exist, the same reason, he allows atheims to exist. It is Not Gods will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. If God dealt his sharp Judgemtn against all the wrong in HUmanity, we would all turn into a puff of smoke, A large Majority of mankind would be devoured, I am tha kful to God, that he saw fit to allow us enough time to get right with him, so we can turn from our erroneous ways and be saved.

I was a cynic, I went to church as a small child, But I became cynical toward God, the Bible, Jesus Christ andhis teachings. I stopped going to church when I got old enough to choose, and I led into a comfortable life of cynicsim and skepticism. I was out side on my promenade, I decided to pick up the BIble and read while I was waitngin on my mother to continue getting ready, so we could drive to school, and as I read, a wind blew, and I looked down, only to ralize God was speaking to me clearer than I had ever seen before. Hid message was Galatians 1:6-9 ”I am astonished you are so quickly removed from the Gospel you have heard to another, apparently there are some who have confused you and perverted the Gospel of Christ, but if any man preach unto you any other, then let them be eternally Condemned.” This made me really reconsider my cynicism toward God, and I thank God that it did, I later became soundly saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. God held up his Law, and I realized His imence hatred toward my sins of lying, stealing, blapshemy and adultery and fornication. I trembeld before God, because I understood His Holiness, I understood His rightoeuss standard, and that he would give me Justice when I faced HIm on the day of wrath. I knew Jesus suffered and died on the cross for my sins, that he took my punishment upon himself, and I repented (turned fomr sin) toward God and trusted in Jesus Christ. The Moment I did, it was as if scales had fallen from my eyes, I was made new, Forgiven and granted the gift of everlasting life. Most importantly I have been personally reconcilled to God and called as an aposlte mto bring the good news of the Gospel to the world. I know from expereince, God is serious in His hatred toward lying and stealing and blasphemy, he has appointed a day in which he will Judge the world in righteousness, so repent (turnf rom sin) and trust in Jesus today.
God Bless
Apsotle

preparation for what is to become. if we are not destined for the afterlife then existence serves no purpose.

right and wrong, good and evil, understanding and ignorance. would one exist without the other? we cannot acurately piece together the reasonings of that which is outside our frame of reference.

nobody can represent god with the grace, love, and mercy that he exhibits. it will never be as simple as suffering is a test of character, and the explanation for the need ofsuch things will never satisfy our judgement.

god should be required to register as a sex offender. After all, he had nonconsensual sex with a virgin which resulted in the birth of himself. Then he was orchestrated his assisted suicide by forcing Judas to become an informant, which cause Judas emotional distress to the point that he took his own life.

god is a dumba*ss.
