If you're set on using disposable batteries, consumer reports did a test and they found the best AA batteries (in terms of life) are the energizer litihium batteries.

It would not look like there at the instant are any rechageable AA lithium ion batteries. i think of that's specially with the aid of actuality that lithium ion cells have a lots greater voltage (3.6 volts) than AA batteries (a million.5 volts). i think some cameras that take AA batteries even have rechargeable lithium ion battery packs yet those packs are particular to the digicam. 2 issues i think of you would be able to desire to do. purchase the utmost ability NiMH batteries you will detect ( 2900maH). Or in case you have already got a gaggle of NimH batteries, cost all of them up and then utilising a digital meter examine the voltages on them. detect a pair that has the utmost voltages and use those. you would be able to discover that pair final somewhat longer.

The Ni-MH rechargeables are extremely good, and in fact carry more of a charge than the disposables these days. Some of those and a 1-hr recharger (around $19) will do a real good job for you. I find the recharger in the camera itself is much inferior, and usually does not know when to shut off, destroying the batteries.

For mine I purchased some rechargeable batteries. I have 8 batteries in total, so I always have the spare ones with me. Good idea and this investment quickly pays off after a couple of charges.

I would go with Rayovac 15 min Nimh batteries or try there new hybrid charger system, there hybrids hold the charge alot longer then regular Nimh.

I would suggest using energizer rechargable betteries in you digital camers. AA batteries have a higher voltage that rechargable batteries 1.5 to 1.2 respectively his can be harmful in some cameras.
