I have met many christians who call themselves born again christians. When I found out their background, most of them were, drug addicts, drunkards, loose charactered men and women and there is always someone who has helped them to become this so called born again. Is born again like you were a christian, sinned a lot and asked forgiveness and became a holy joe. Dont you find something wrong in it?

Those of us who are "born-again" have been born into a new spirit, a spirit which has Christ being the Lord of our life. We may have sinned and asked forgiveness but that doesn't make us a holy joe, just forgiven by God's grace. Paul still told us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, in other words being born-again isn't what makes us holy. Being holy comes from getting to know Jesus and becoming everyday more like Him.
What is wrong with that?

A born again Christian is when someone decides to change their lifestyle and become a devout Christian. This means that they will be faithful to the Christian Church and religion, following it very closely. Most people that are "born again" have had troubled lives previous to this change.

No. "Born again" refers to the new spiritual life one has after repentance and obediance of God's Word. Christians who "sin a lot and asked forgiveness" are said to have been in a state of "backsliding" or "falling away" from the truth they already knew. People who are "born again" weren't Christains already. They 're new Christians.

to be born again means that we have accepted Jesus as Savior & given our lives to Him. I know a lot of ex drug addicts/drunkards & men & women who had loose characters before they met Jesus. Their lives are changed by believing in Him & submitting to the Holy Spirit. My pastor was a drug addict/dealer before he met Jesus, I am aquainted with another pastor who was a violent, vicious criminal before he was born again. Jesus changes lives& I find no fault in Him.

(John 3:3 KJV) "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

To be born again means that a new creature was begotten by spiritual methods. (John 3:6 KJV) "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."

When one is born again, he becomes a child of God. (Rom 8:10 KJV) "And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness."

When one is born again, he begins to live a new life-eternal life. At once our sins are forgiven; our guilt is gone. We are at peace with God; we have new goals and attitudes. And at death we enter a still higher life of joy. Eternal Life is true living-forever! (2 Cor 5:17 KJV) "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

born again means filled with God spirit. Many will use the term losly just when they accept Jesus as saviour but realy its about giving your whole life to Jesus. and often those who come from the worst backgrounds are the most comitted they realy know they are changed ( reborn) through Jesus.

You've answered your own question. Now consider making a move - a physical move - like you were buying a new house in a new neighborhood. Is heaven a place you'd consider? If so, would you still need a police department?

It means that you've given up your old life and your spiritual life has "died" and been "born again".
