I think most people nowadays are just apathetic; many would not claim to be an atheist, as that is a loaded term and actually implies a active belief AGAINST organised religion (at least to a lot of people), which is not what most have.

no atheism isn't a fad as you have some grown a s s men and women even in their 40's and 50's and whatnot who are atheists by the way i'm nonreligious but i'm agnostic so agnosticism which isn't a religion per se

possibly, most everything becomes a fad a some point in time and probably again and again. That doesn't take away from its underlying strengths (and, for completeness, weaknesses).
I'm a strong atheist.

No. Many religions are considered atheistic Pantheism is often accused of being atheistic as well as Buddhism, Taoism and Hindu.

No. It's a choice like any other. You either choose to believe in God or you don't. However, that doesn't cease to make him exist. He will give you every opportunity to believe in Him, but He will never push himself on you, otherwise choice would cease to be choice. However, you will bare the full responsibility for your choice. If you choose to walk in front of a moving truck, you'll get hit. Can you then blame the truck for killing you? Unlike the truck, God is still being good to you even though you don't believe in Him, because He loves you. He cannot deny Himself.

Oh, I don't have any religion or traditional belief system. I guess some people would call me an 'atheist' but 'agnostic' is more like it.
