You might want to go to your gym and ask a personal trainer what would work best for you body figure and size. you don't want to lift wrong or get too big so your muscles restrict you from your boxing movements. Or ask your coach. Just so you know your doing everything correctly. But i would start taking it slow for the first month, before you get into heavy lifting so you don't injure yourself or become too sore so you can't box. Good luck.

Mens health has a great Hardcover book. From starter to advanced workouts. there is also a 14 day meal plan in it, to help you get your metabolism in tune with your training.

Not that you have to go with that but if you do not have the money to spend on a trainer and gym fees a trusted source like Mens Health that has been around awhile, is a decent start.
Good luck with your training. I do not have enough will power to ever stay on mine fore more than a couple months on and off. Must be the ADD! lol

ask at the gym for an assessment, they will take what you want to do into account with your state of fitness and work out a training plan for you, any good gym will provide this service for you
