My co-worker's cholesterol is 280, and he seems to think that is fine. He continues to eat fry food, pizza (4 slices per serving), gyros and the list goes on. What cholesterol level is consider at risk of a heart attack? Thank you for your answers.

Yes, he's at high risk. Anything over 240 is considered high risk. Your co-worker is flirting with disaster.

I just wish there was better evidence that the actual cholesterol level numbers directly affect heart disease. A lot of what the say is to push cholesterol meds.
