I was swimming in the sea just one week from the birth of my fourth child, with no ill effects. Let your body tell you how much to do, but if you were fit before the birth, you are probably even fitter after it. Congratulations on your new baby, isn't it great having another child?

It is best to wait for your 6 week checkup. Walking is good as long as you don't overdo it. Congrats on your new arival!

Strictly speaking you should wait until after your post natal check up.

As soon as you feel up to it. Your body knows what's best for you.
