Beginning to look as though the U.S. is at war with just about everybody.

No, the US has not declared war on Iran. This article is talking about going after Iranian nationals who are in Iraq aiding insurgents. The Constitution requires that Congress declare war, so you would know if the US had formally declared war on Iran -- there would be headlines everywhere saying so. That said, this is only the historical (though directly Constitutional)process for declaring war. Clearly, as in Iraq, Congress has been known to authorize and fund the use of force without a actually declaring war on a specific nation. The war on terror is especially difficult, because it is a war against a movement, not a war against a specific nation (or two or three...). If there would be a war waged against Iran, there would either be a formal declaration by Congress or a resolution by Congress allowing the President to use force if he finds it necessary. (There is obviously a lot which could be debated regarding this issue, but that is the most fundamental and objective way I can think to answer your question...)

A restricted airstike on a particular purpose is attainable if it is WMD suitable yet a conflict like we've in Iraq or Afghanistan is fairly not likely. Iran is way larger than Iraq and it is all and sundry is more desirable professional-western than Saudi Arabia. it is the administration it is the priority yet when they die off in 10-2 a lengthy time period we would land up having an noticeably professional-American best chum interior the area and one it is also a needed close by capacity. conflict is maximum not likely less than any of the present leaders (Obama, Clinton, McCain) even though it is complicated to assert which it is least in all probability less than. My wager must be Obama even though it is only a feeling.

I , like most, supported the search for Bin Laden. I brought supplies to people stranded in our small Canadian city after the attacks. I wanted to phone the school and go pick up our 2 youngest boys as I watched the Trade Center collapse. I would have bought into any hunt for those people. I was glad our troops joined yours in Afghanistan, my 21 year old son has been in our military since 16, he wanted to go. All of sudden it was 2 years later, Bin Laden still hadn't been seen (I hope he is buried under tons of rubble) ,another U.S. election is coming up and Saddam becomes the target. He deserves no mercy. After watching Colin Powell try to sell the "intelligence" for invading Iraq to the UN and the UN rejecting it, you are in Iraq. Look, you may be a "Superpower" but if China or Russia or Germany did what you did by invading a soverign nation, you would and the world would be all over them like glue. Saddam is gone, get out of Iraq, they and the UN can bring their country together. Now you are shooting Iranians in Iraq. They are neighbours, sure they have a nutcase for a leader but WAKE up there are nutcases all over the world. The UN has recieved alot of bad press about being a toothless wonder, however , the fact is that the UN has kept the world safe since the end of WW2. You are a great nation, but an invaluable member of the United Nations as well. Use your troops in the hunt for Bin Laden, let the UN do it's job in Iraq. Don't make it a "Party" thing. Fix New Orleans, hurricane season comes before you know it. Get back to being the feared and respected Nation you have always been. You took a big hit that September morning but running around like a chicken with their head cut off, hunting an ideaology. Shooting at shadows it seems. Shake off that hit America, drop the party lines and do what is right. And please stay out of Iran. That area of the world has been fighting for centuries, do you really want or need 25 or 30 million more enemies? Sorry for the rant, just one neighbour talking with the other.

There has been no declaration of war, learn your facts, authorization to use deadly force against Iranian terrorists/agents in Iraq is something diferent than attacking the Iranian Army and its country.

I wouldn't say he's declaring war on Iran, although I would say he eventually will and should, either way that's not within his power only congress can officially declare war. I would say he's loosening the constraints on U.S. servicemen on the ground in Iraq.

Not yet and I don't think we will in a long time. I think we'll go to war with France before Iran.

I think so, Bush desperately needs something to keep his war machine going! Iran is ready for his picking, so to speak, and would put him deeper into an elated state that we citizens could never understand. Why would a man want people to hate him more than they already do?

No. He has just authorized use of all measures "within Iraq" to protect themselves and the citizens of Iraq
