This site has a forum where people post their own ideas and photos of their hair designs. Practical, beautiful ideas for long hair. Shows you how to use hair sticks and other things. These ladies are SERIOUS about long hair!

These styles are a little more intricate and detailed. But beautiful as well.

Enjoy!!!

It all depends on the cut of the dress.
You can try pulling up the sides in different strands, sort of like a weave of hair, but not tight, and bring them to the back. Then add the curls. If you have long hair, i don't suggest real tight curls either because it will distract from the dress. It's always about the dress. There are so many things you can do with long hair. Look at bride magazines for free at the store and get ideas from there. You can mix and match some of looks. Congrats on your wedding. It's all about you, so have fun with it.

Don't forget to do a "test run" before the actual day.

Since you're lucky enough to have thick hair, the necessity of a hairstyle to hold the veil in doesn't seem to be an issue.

Why not just wear it down - with soft, sexy curls?
Katharine McPhee got her soft, sexy curls using rag rollers (or so the wesite says) - and you can make your own if you don't have any.

Whether you do it yourself or go to the salon, don't forget that the style will need to look good for several hours (so don't forget hair product that will hold without being stiff and look horrible when combing out) and that you will need to be comfortable.

Congratulations and happy wedding!

i remember for my 6months with my boyfriend my sister did my entire head in curls. i must say i looked not bad lol and usually i hate the way i look. and i have the same hair shape too i mean like long very thick hair and wavy.. i think your entire head curls and then part your hair to one side so i guess it gives the illusion that you have bangs to the side.. if you know what i mean... hope you do my style.

CONGRATS!

I would leave it long and sexy with big loopy curls, it makes your appearance soft and sexy and flattering. Just leave it down.
