My husband said that there is a cure for AIDS, but it's fatal to humans. He says that bleach kills it. Does anyone know if that is correct?

I know that it kills people. The hubby said it's the only problem, lol.

Can't be much of a cure if it kills people. High heat will kill the virus. So tossing the patient into a furnace will cure the AIDS. Acid, high dosage of various chemicals, and eletro-chemical breakdown could all have the same effect. None of these are a cure though, just a way to kill the virus (and the patient while you are at it).

I'm sure there's probably lots of "cures" for AIDS. Plenty of things would kill the AIDS virus, but along with that would kill human's along the way. Bleach, which is known to kill bacteria and viruses could probably kill the AIDS virus, but obviously we can't take it or it would kill us. Many other chemicals or substances I'm sure could kill the AIDS virus but would also kill us. Therefore, I wouldn't think of bleach as a cure, a cure is something that can kill the virus without killing people.

Bleach will kill the AIDS virus from surfaces but that does NOT mean it is a CURE by any stretch of the imagination.

Well, technically bleach will kill HIV virus (and most other viruses). So, yes, it's true... which is only helpful to know if you live with someone with HIV, if they bleed on to a surface, it has to be cleaned with bleach.

yeah, that's totally true. Bleach kills pretty much everything, including the HIV and AIDS viruses, but you can't inject it into humans. It kills them.
