Perhaps it isn't the paint color that is the only thing that you should think about, the paint technique is another thing. How about sponging white and gray over a light blue to make the walls look like clouds. It is a simple technique and is easily changed if you are not satisfied.

Sounds fun. You may want to avoid matching the patterns too closely, it may cause too much busyness on the walls. A nice way to make a room look bigger is to paint the walls all one color, but put a lighter colored stripe (about 1-2 feet wide) around the bottom.

If she doesn't want to pull a color out of the comforter, then a warm neutral might be a good solution. Perhaps an off-white with a bit of pink in it (everyone looks better with soft pink light) or a warm gray.

if you went w/. a white color then the comforter would really "pop" i wouldn't paint it another color bc then it would be too much...stick with a lighter color bc in the future she's going 2 grow out of her rainbow comforter and you're just going 2 have 2 remodel the whole room again...it's just going 2 b a hassle....stick with a lighter color.

I would choose a light pastel color for the walls and then you can decorate the walls with other colors bright and what not. You can change decorations easier then you can the wall color.

After you burn the comforter tell her she will have to simply sleep in the garage.
