I woke up this morning feeling like i had a mild cold but now I have a slightly sore throat and pressure in the ears, could this be an ear infection? if not what could it be?
Thanks!

Pressure in the ears could be due to swollen sinuses (putting pressure on the eustation tube and giving the blocked feeling), it could be that the throat is swollen with the same result, it may also be an ear infection...best to get it checked out before it gets really bad....I hate ear infections, I had too many of them as a kid!;

A sore throat could lead to an ear infection, because the throat and ears are connected internally. When you have sore throat, it's usually because of bacterial infection that causes swelling of tissue in the troat. This swelling can affect the ears by building up pressure in the auditory tube that is connected to the throat (pharynx).

Bilateral ear pain/pressure is more of a sinus pressure symptom. The important thing is to get on it and keep it from getting any worse. There is a wonderful product on the market called Zycam that lessens the amount of time it takes to get over these symptoms. It is a little pricey but well worth it. It has helped me several time. Also, find something to help you sleep at night so you don't miss your rest. Idealy, you should find something to relieve congestion and sinus pressure. Good luck. Hope you feel better soon.

Throat, ears, and nose are all connected. It does sound like you are getting sick. I personally take some nyquil when I need to keep going even when i feel like crap. Or go to your local drug store and check the packages... get something with nasal or congestion. pain and pressure... Sudafed makes some. or comtrex.

Most likely, if it's both ears, it's caused by sinus congestion. Use an over the counter decongestant and see if that helps.
