I am not sure what you mean by leader. But the norm is to have a balance relationship (50/50). Remember that a relationship (or when you find the love of your life) should compliment your life and not complicated. It's not about who is the leader is about coming to a middle ground and building strong relationship besides the different opinions you might share. In my opinion if your trying to be leader is because your trying to control. If you feel like you need to control, then I would question my relationship.

It doesn't matter who is older. The unofficial guidelines set forth by humans dictates that men are always the leader, no matter what. But that's ok. That means it's less work for women :)
