I am 38 years old and have been wearing glasses sice I was 5. I am nearsighted but in the passt couple of months I need to remove my glasses to see certain things up close. Could I possibly need bifocals a such a young age?

Yes it sounds like you do. Your not as young as U use to be. (no disrespect meant, I'm 49 ) Now days especially using a computer much it damages our eyes. Since you have had glasses for nearsightedness it's not at all uncommon for you to start having problem seeing close up. You need of course to have your eyes checked. I had to get reading glasses in my 30's, now I'm starting to have problems with distance. Hope I helped or gave you something to think about.

Go to an optometrist to have an eye exam. Usually you eyes can need a different prescription from time to time.
