I'm broke, he knows this, we're in a long distant relationship. When I pay for the flight to go see him, he'll give me the money back in cash when I get there, do you think it would be unreasonable to ask HIM to book it online? he's loaded with cash! and it's only £30, money that I haven't got cuz i'm a full-time student. how should I approach it as I want to go see him, and I'll bring it up, but I don't wanna say "lets book the next flight, you pay". Do you guys know what I mean? how should I go around it?

Just ask him. If he wants you, he'll pay...

Be assertive. If you're broke then you shouldn't have the money to purchase the flight, even if you are being reimbursed later. Next time tell him you are THAT BROKE. Hopefully, he will want to see you just as bad and book the flight and give you the confirmation number. Let him decide this though. It's not your place, although you get so anxious to be with him. Sometimes people need to make decisions on their own, especially when it comes to nourishing a relationship. How would you feel eventually down the road if you had to constantly suggest the idea of him buying everytime. Would you not feel as if he didn't want your company as urgently as you want his? Talk to him. Tell him "I enjoy your company and become excited when visiting, but my current situation with money is not the most convenient right now and purchasing a plane ticket places a burden on my finances. I really don't want to do this again. We need to figure out something different for our next visit...maybe like you come see me." It's open to his resolution. You're not asking him for anything. If this doesn't work, then you have a thorn on your foot. To pull it out will hurt, but it will be quick and for the better.

I'm a guy that thinks all guys should pay for everything. Maybe I'm not right but I've always been embarrassed for my date to pay for anything. I think you should just ask him nicely to book you that flight. What would it hurt sense he's the one you're going to see and he did say he would give you the money back (unless he has the thought of keeping you there and not letting you go back home). Long distance relationships seldom work out and this is just one of the reasons for it. Ask him, you stand to lose nothing but gain everything.

Easy - don't see him unless he books the flight. He'll come around or break up with you - both results are good for you.

If he asks you to book it, just tell him that you simply can't afford it; if he whines about you not wanting to see him bad enough, tell him, "Yeah, maybe not - I like eating more than you. I guess I'll have to find someone else who can take me out to dinner around here."

If he's loaded, he's a loser tightwad for making you bear the expense of maintaining the relationship.

Ask him to come visit you for a change! Girl, you do not to be the one doing all of the work in this relationship, even if he does pay for yout travel. You are the one roaming the airport and having to be all stressed to make a flight.

You should never have had to book or pay for a single flight..

He should come to visit you. If you are a full-time student, I'm sure you are very busy. If he is "loaded", he can afford to travel.

If he wants you there let him do the work to get you there. Sounds to me like he is either hiding something or being lazy.
