I agree with Lucy on painting one wall the reddish-orange color (which I love that color, by the way). Although I wouldn't put it on the wall with the window for two reasons:
1. The contrast of bright sun coming through the window and that color on the wall is a little harsh on the eyes (besides, wouldn't you want the light from the window to illuminate the color?)
2. If you have a creamy or neutral color on the window wall, there's a lot more you can do with your window treatments (i.e. bringing all the colors together) plus it adds a splash of color against the otherwise neutral wall

Sure you can - just make sure your furniture is lighter than the paint colour. If you want the room to look bigger, just paint one wall the reddish orange and paint the other walls a complementary cream. The window wall would work or the wall where you are going to place your sofa. Make sure you have lots of the reddish orange accents in the room if you are only going to do the one wall.

I am a house painter, and if it is fairly small and you have furniture in there it will make it look even smaller, these days people are choosing "accent" walls, which means only one wall in the room gets painted the dark color and its kinda like the focal point of the room , also make sure that you have a few things like couch pillow, pics etc that match the accent wall and it brings the whole room together..GOOD LUCK

In a small room, you can paint just one wall in a dark shade to not have the room appear even smaller than it is. One wall looks nice, depending on how you decorate and the color of the rest of the room.

You can paint your room any color you like. Some designers like to use dark colors in small rooms -- makes them very cozy. If you like the color then paint away!

I would go with a light color. As we all know a dark color makes a room seem smaller. While a light color will make a room seem larger. So it is all about how you like it....Best wishes

yes but if there are no windows you might just want to paint one wall as the accent of that room or else you'll feel like your inside a ripe tomato be sure that all your accents are a light hue like creams and whites yellows and bright oranges it'll open the space buy making it feel light!

one wall and do the others either white or a pale yellow.
In a small room it Will be claustrophobic. You could do one wall and matching curtains. Try to paint on wall oppisite window.

Thats a great color and quite popular and gotta laugh about making it look bigger , you can only fit so much furniture in a room period another words what you got is what you got!!

Sounds great, it should be bright and sunny, I love the brighter colors, some people might suggest a cool tone to make the room look bigger, my arguement to that is who cares if it LOOKS bigger, it is still the same size!!!!!
