Typically an 'infant' is aged 0-5, whereas a baby is 0-2. Infant schools can have varying age critera, so it's hard to comment in that respect. To summarise; an infant is a small/young child. A baby can be an infant but a child over the age of 2 is an infant or a child.

Infant is up to 2 years of age. Baby is not a medical term so an infant is still a baby.

No you are wrong. Infant is below 2 years of age. Baby is just a lay term for infant.

I work in the aviation industry in the UK and for us the term 'infant' means exactly the same as baby - it's a child under the age of two years.
Here you go, this is the definition from the Cambridge dictionary:
infant (YOUNG CHILD)

a baby or a very young child:
a newborn infant
No, babies don't become infants. Babies and infants are exactly the same thing!

A Baby is aged from when they r born to about 1 and a half (or a little bit older) an infant is from about 2 years of age to about 5 or 6.(I think)
