Why don't we stop buying Japanese goods in protest of them killing whales?

I see whale meat in markets all the time when i go to Korea, do you ever hear about that? what about them eating dogs? i think you should stop buying Korean goods too. all thats left is china, oh wait they eat dogs and cats too if that bothers you...maybe you should stop buying chinese goods too. ok, whats left. oh wait, America doesnt make all the crap that asia does, so alot of the products you're used to go away. Ok, now you cant stop there you have to stop buying American made things with Asian parts in them. I'd say unless you're amish you cant do it.

How can we stop the Americans from killing women and children? I saw a horrible and disturbing video of the American military killing defenseless women and children on the News. What can we do to stop this awful thing? After this show, we all got together and shunned this American exchange student. He got so shook up that Rotary had to send him home. Should we do things like that when we find American in this country?

im not saying that they always do but some japanese people kill and eat certain whales as a way of life just like we eat cows, pigs etc which other cultures would see as wrong. thers is also still a lot of blood sports that occurs, would people turn their back on British products for that....no.

What? Why don't we stop buying American goods for them killing the babies in Iraq? Because:

a) Most people only care about material things
b) Nobody cares about anything or anyone besides themselves
c) There's no such thing as decency
d) Because developed countries have too much power and influence on the shape of the world

same reason we dont stop buying US products for killing grey wolves, or manatee etc. We need the products, and we dont want to cripple the economy. Despite what you may think, the american economy drives foreign econoimies, and foreign economies drive the american economy. Not to mention that japanese companies have factories in the US, such as NIssan, that employ thousands of Americans. We'd be shooting ourselves in the foot.

I highly doubt they are the only ones, how about instead of boycotting japan, boycott the fishing companies that use bottom trawlers, they scrape the ocean floor, while in the process they scrape up plants, corral, and other sea creatures that they were not intending to catch.. this process destroys entire eco systems in areas where it is used.
