This guy is called the oracle at work cuz he's up on women. He's read phychological books and has studied their behaviour from being in previous relationships. Therefore, I'm sure that he'll use all the tricks of the trade on me! How do I avoid this? He plays hard to get quite abit, and blows hot and cold!

Yes dear definitely he will, would be an artificial person, playing with your emotions pretending what he is not. And what I think is, in that situation I will never feel comfortable, what you think? Is it ok with you?

Jessica,

You already know what this guy is about.

You also know that any guy who actually announces to an office that he knows everything about women, likely doesn't.

Guys who do, keep that information to themselves.

You are smart - you already know what he is going to pull.

Take no prisoners! Make it clear whose in charge and when he plays cold, be as non-chalant as possible. When he plays hard to get, make sure you make it clear that there are too many guys in line to waste your time doing the chasing. He will be putty in your hands.

I don't know why you're bothering. Maybe, inside the mask of mister 'know-it-all-about-females' there is a guy who is worth knowing...but if the games get really bad and he isn't appreciating you....don't waste your time.

You deserve better than mind games.

Just be careful. He sounds like a player. I'd run in the other direction though. All these games, doesn't make it sincere. How long have you been dating him? Does he really want to get to know you or is he just into playing games -blowing hot and cold and all that. If he really likes you, what's the point in playing games?

Trust me there is no such thing as a guy who knows all about women from reading. If he knew so much why does he date so much? No woman is alike any more than men are. Just be yourself with him. Personally he sounds like a pompous know it all and i would not date him. If he plays hard to get then he is still a child.

Seems like this guy is a bit of a player. I don't know about you but it would be much more fun to see what this guy has up his sleeve. Because, let's face it, "the oracle of women" hah! The smartest thing you can do is keep this guy at arms length and when dating him isn't fun dump his butt!.

wait until he is cold and then dump him!! anyone who knows all of that and has been in previous relationships is looking for lab rats and once he gets what he wants from you, you will then be just one of those previoius relationships. It is more fun to find a partner for life and learn those things together and more rewarding.

If you are paranoid and too bothered by this then get out before you get too attached...,Otherwise I don't think you will be able to avoid it and you're going to have to deal with it....If he is playing hard to get then he does sound like a game player and that's immature.......It's your call

And you want to date him why? I'd avoid a guy that seems to know it all - they are just too much work.

LOL, NO man knows everything about women, no matter what they've read. From your post, I'm wondering, exactly why is it you want to go out w/him?
