I find it strange that you want to come here - I know lots of people who have left Britain for a better life where you are! If you are English by birth then you would have a better chance of getting a job etc. We have had to clamp down hard on immigrants because many have been coming here just for cheap work and benefits. If I were you, I would stay with your son, because you seem to have your family over there with you. Britain has problems with unemployment too, and I would hate to see you come here with an unhappy son and no job. Try and use your family connections to get a better job where you are. That has been your home/and your sons home for the past 13 years. You can improve on an existing situation, but moving and having to start all over again would be hard.

I would say you would probably be working the same as you are now. but no added bonus of the sun or pools.

England is very expensive.

I would personally like to leave here. And know many others who agree..

You should maybe think of a different place in Australia, or Getting a better job. I would not reccommend England. Sorry.

I am considering coming to Australia ha ha

I think you always think the grass is greener, we pay a lot of tax here and the cost of living is extremely high.........

Unfortunately England is becoming filled up with Asylum seekers......They are taking a lot of the work in the London area.....Although I appreciate why the Asylum seekers are here, I think its time we stopped accepting anymore.....

I'm sure everyone thinks the grass is greener, why not try and move to a different area in Oz, I'm sure it has better prospects than here,,,,,,,,

I would have to say if your considering coming here to work and live do your research on whereabouts you would like to live. to repeat what someone else said we are inundated with asylum seekers which does affect the country. depending on what you do or if you are a tradesman will determine the chance of you getting employment. however im afraid the weather here is crap compared to oz - good luck hope it works out for you

I live in NZ, have done for 20 years. Went back to the UK last year for a family reunion and couldnt get back to NZ quick enough. Theres nothing left in England mate, Blair and his cronies have seen to that.
