Keep a food diary to track what your eating so that you aren't gaining weight from your food intact. BUT when you strength train, you gain muscle which is heavier than fat. This might also be a sign of that.

Lifting weights causes you to gain weight, especially if you increase the weights. For a woman it is better to do repitions with a lighter weight for tone rather than to gain muscle. But all the weight you are gaining is probably muscle mass :)

If you are exercising regularly and are gaining, you could be gaining muscle which weighs more than fat. If your clothes appear to fit better but are weighing more on the scale, chances are that's what's happening. If you are the same size you may need to change your eating habits as well as exercise. You need to have a balanced plan of diet and exercise to lose excess body fat. Good Luck

if you're eating fast food then of course you'll gain weight. and don't drink sodas and anything really sugary. never trust processed foods either they can always ruin a diet. eat whole grains and fruits and veggies. i eat an avacado almost every day and i am still pretty small for my size so don't let anyone tell you they are too fatty ( I'm 5' 2" and 105). and for snacks, you don't need chips or anything like that. i usually carry around some cashews or some other form of nut with me; protein fills you up and keeps you filled up.
