A British Soldier is salaried so does not get paid for the hours worked. Further more there is no entilement to Annual Leave.....it is a privilage the Army say. Once you sign on the line they have you 24/7 365.

So you get paid for 365 days weather you work on those days or not.

Yea, you get paid the same weather you work 20 hrs a day or 5 mins. You are pretty much on a salary job. And as long as your leave is authorized then you will get paid.

everybody serving in the English armed forces are paid 24/7 whether or not on leave or duty.if you breakdown the pay it works out very poor depending on rank it is complex situation i will give example of pay for royal navy.lowest junior aged 16 ordinary aged 17,able rate ,able rate scale a ,leading rate scale c,leading rate scale b leading rate scale a ,petty officer, chief petty officer, warrant officer (not sure but was fleet chief).
scale of pay A =passed exams for promotion to next rate.
scale of pay B=not passed any exams for promotion but confirmed in that rate
scale of pay C =just received promotion to that rate e.g leading seamen from able rate .
scale of pay A=able rates passed promotion exams and awaiting promotion.
if any personnel go AWOL then after a period of time pay is stopped whether male or female.
