What is it about some American men? And, by the way, I AM an American man who lives in Asia. Women can be good or bad, sexy or plain, short or tall, etc. ANYWHERE. If your interest is prostitutes and casual sex, I would suggest Thailand over Indonesia. There is an heavy overlay of Islam over the culture of Indonesia. By the way, one of friends from the Netherlands is married to an Indonesian lady; she is very strong willed and a little demanding. Of course, each individual is different. In general, women in Indonesia can be like women anywhere. If buying a woman appeals to you, you can also try Mexico (it's closer and cheaper).

Don't paint Asian women the same brush with others! It is not the actual representation of Asian women and it is degrading!

I have a friend/ lady from Thailand and married with a Canadian guy yet they live happily with 2 kids. Plus she is working and make a good living plus supporting her family and husband legally! ..just like European, American or Australian women!

Many comments above especially by men full of beans with preconceive notions/ideas that based on double-standard rather than the actual fact itself! This is mentality often created social bigotry and racism in the 21st century! Not sure why when you discussing women from Asia like from Indonesia, Thailand or Filipino you guys have to be chauvinist and tend to mention about diseases and being gold digger in the same sentence. Men also have 'diseases', regardless any countries, nationalities, shapes or forms. Thus, the actual disease is the PREJUDICE itself!

Not all women from Asia are cheap and just because of few who are like that, doesn't mean you have the right to over-generalize the whole women population! Maybe that is your karma for hanging out at the pub and disco in the Asian cities and not smart enough to assimilate with locals there other than the bar girls!

Most are Muslim. Indonesia has the highest population of muslims in the world. The girls are similar to other Asian countries in that they are shy and reserved. They are also usually small in stature (short) and devoted to their men. There seem to be a high number of those that want to break free from that and come to America, and I have spoken to a seemingly high number on Yahoo personals (I'm in Sacramento, CA) that are here already and want to stay here. They are also subject to arranged marriages once they reach a certain age. I don't know that you would "get lucky" over there, but you might have better luck here in America with a girl away from her family and native customs where she can "let her hair down." Whether they are sexy or not is a matter of opinion; I like Asian women in general, so Indonesian girls are attractive to me. In Indonesia, though, I don't know that you would have any fortune; but not from a lack of interest - they just won't really show it.

Girls in Indonesia are similar to any other girls from any other races and countries. The appearance would be differ though as to Western or European or Arab girls as Asian/Indonesian girls are mostly small and short. But not so much thesedays, many Indonesian/Asian girls are also tall and big.

They have dark hair that's one thing for sure, dark brown or black eyes, not colorful unlike the Western/European. Their hair are curly, straight, wavy.

They have respect to elders, they are shy, educated, smart, they are friendly even to strangers, and most of them are religious either they are Moslem, Christian. Buddhist, or Hindu.

But yes, as it is common to find poor people in many Asian countries, in Indonesia, some girls find no ways but dating foreigners (or Americans) for a better financial BUT NOT ALL OF THEM, again as I said some, and it is common in many Asian countries. But that does not mean, girls in Asian countries are cheap and gold digger and very available and "lose" esp. to Americans.

The fact that there are many Americans oil companies in Indonesia, the most foreigners that you will likely find of course American there but there are ALSO many foreigners from other countries such as Australia, Canada, etc.

And NOT ALL the girls who are dating foreigners only date for the $, many of them are genuine relationships! Many of them even married and have kids and sometimes they are either stay in Indonesia (with the foreigner spouse) or go out of Indonesia (to their foreigner spouse' country).

If you are looking for prostitutes in Indonesia, again as I said, it is common to find them not just in Indonesia, but also in many other countries, and as it is their way of making money, OF COURSE they WILL BE VERY available to NOT just American men but to many men out there.

Please do not mistaken Asian girls as cheap, whores, gold digger etc. Many of them are educated and well respected.

Yes, girls in that part of the world have a rather heavy interest in snagging American men for financial gain. Most that are willing to try have already been 'snagged' by other men and are carrying whatever diseases those men had.

If you think dark skin, black hair is sexy...yup...most of them are...and also available for American men.
Those who become VERY available are girls who thinks that caucasian are superior and richer...etc..etc...and most of them are not well-educated, comes from low-class financial family, and obviously never been outside Indonesia to see the world. And for those girls, yes other answer above about their "willingness" are very true.
