You can play board games, word games, math games and puzzles, crosswords... anything that stimulates the brain. And try to do at least one of these early in your day... that gets your brain going early and lasts longer!
Another fun thing you can do to increase brain function all the way around, (thereby increasing memory) is to do something with the opposite hand. By that I mean, if you are right handed, and you normally brush your teeth in the morning right handed, for one week brush your teeth using your LEFT hand. Next week do another task with the opposite hand. Studies show that this stimulates the half of your brain that is NOT dominant, and wakes it up, so to speak. You then use more of your brain during the day than you would have normally! And the earlier you do this, too, the better your day will go!

there is a lot of games that you can play - on line - and maybe you can buy some software with some games, i m not sure if they are out, but maybe you can get them on line free.
Memory games are awesome, also ask to your doctor if you can take ginko-biloba its a med herb, i think you cannot mix with other things so check with your general doctor if its OK for you, specially if you just want to improve then I don't recommend you if you have problems with memory then u have to discuss options with your doctor.
