I used to live next door to this cool ex-hells angel in hiding. Or so he said anyway. He had like 2 or 3 under EACH eye. One side had to do with time in prison. Sort of like crossing out 4 lines to make 5. The other side had to do with killings. Freakin' crazy right.

The teardrop tattoo has different meanings.

"When they were first worn they meant that the wearer had been incarcerated and or killed someone while in or out of prison. As times have changed however, the teardrop has come to symbolize a friend or fellow gang member or family member that has died while the wearer is incarcerated.
Now however the teardrop seems to have become a fad, which granted has gotten people in trouble.
It has also been used as a gang identifier. If it was on the right it meant you were a Crip or part of the Folk Nation, on the left meant Blood or People's Nation."

Usually means that they had been in prison, had killed someone in prison or had a close friend or family member die...depends on which side its on, but I don't remember which is which. Try looking on bmezine.com or google or wiki for the answer.

I have seen a few and I don't really freak out over it. Chances are they aren't going to freak out and kill kids at a summer camp. Don't worry about it.

it could mean anything, because people get things for different reasons. Like, it used to mean that if you had a left ear pierced you were gay right ear + coke dealer
nowdays they do it cause they want to

ORIGINALLY a teardrop under the eye is a prison tattoo meaning you have killed someone!

its totally a fad now, like people who get spider web tattoos
on their elbows, those are gang/murder tattos as well and i know people who have them and they are about as tough as a baby kitten.
However, if the cafeteria worker is a little on the older side, i'd say her tear drop tattoo is legit, she may have been in a gang when she was younger. She very well could be a very nice person now
so don't be a d!&* and talk sh!t about her, shes proboly got her life back together.
