You need to get professional help. I am being sincere here. If you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, you need to get help for it, it won't go away on it's own. Speak to someone about this, maybe your doctor,or if you are in highschool, maybe your schook counsellor.

Is the thought negative and/or give you anxiety and dread? Then does it make you react by doing a repeated action (like walking over the same place, counting things over and over, washing your hands, etc..) ?
If so it sounds like Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (or OCD). There are different forms of treatment based on the severity of the individual's disorder. Some receive medication for the anxiety and there is also cognitive therapy. If you think you might have this, you should contact your doctor.

Meditation is a good place to work from and also seeking out help from a qualified person to help understand your situation. I have mild OCD and mostly I just live with it and do my best not to get to caught up in the things that I know can, like, "did I lock the door", when I lock a door I see myself going through the motions and it helps me to keep from replaying the thoughts,"did I or didn't I".
It will be OK and you will be just fine. Meditate on it.
Here is to a peaceful mind.

first of all dont take advice from anyone who can't even spell sandwich....(sanwish! haha) and secondly perhaps you arent religious? then what?
maybe you are dealing with OCB or OCD...im no doc so i cant tell you that for sure but im thinking perhaps some relaxation therapy would be effective in redirecting your thought process...what is most relaxing and serene to you? what would best distract you from this until you were able to talk to a physician and have an eval and work together to find a proper treatment plan? breathing exercises, lame i know, but those and perhaps yoga or meditation like someone else here mentioned would be effective. perhaps music you favor would redirect you?
check it all out and see!

I m not an expert on this, what you can do is focuss in something else than that thougth, try to resolve the though is in your mind and go next step, example You are thinking in a sandwish and is only 10 not time to eat, then go take a look where you will eat your sandwish where is your sandwish , set up appoiment with your sandwish and Done. go to next step. that way you dont get lost in your thougths of a sandwish between 10 to 12 , I m assuming here that you will eat your sandwish at 12.
Keep your mind focuss in waht you have to do present time, set up schedule , every time you get stock with a thougth go quickly check your agenda, what is priority today?
or daily you can make a priority things to do for that day.
If is about something you cannot resolve it, or is out of your control, ( if you christian, pray God that He is in control and HE will take care of that, pray in name of JEsus and will be done ) if you are not christian, then.....mmmmm tell your self you tried as much you can and you can't do anything about, and go back to your list of that day.
:) I hope that helps

end irritating approximately what different individuals think of of you. you will on no account comprehend. additionally, they in all hazard are no longer thinking of you...human beings think of of themselves the customary public of the time. so as a replace of irritating approximately what they think of of you, think of roughly what you think of of THEM. observe different individuals instead of observing your self. think of solid or undesirable issues approximately them. it is your existence. you ought to stay your existence according to whether or no longer particular human beings please you. you do no longer ought to delight them. im am an extremely socially annoying individual, and the terrific concern you're able to do is purely observe human beings. hear, nod, and snort. I reccommend analyzing the e book "so long to Shy." It has helped me lots. It has eighty 5 smart innovations that might actually assist you manage the rigidity you experience in social situations. between the failings the e book says is to computer screen different individuals such as you're observing them in a movie. once you watch a movie, you dont concern approximately how the actors experience approximately you, you purely watch them. this is not a nerve wracking undertaking once you watch a movie. So watch real human beings the form you're able to watch them in a movie. you will have so lots greater to declare once you extremely hear and observe human beings, this will additionally help you be much less frightened. solid success. And remember "you may not discover peace by ability of keeping off existence"

Since there is a way, I'll let you know, but its price is this:
your life as you know it falls away.
It's like dying while alive, so I assume you'll want to just pass on it.
