What's really sad is the founder of Scientology and the author of Dianetics has been quoted as saying the best "get rich quick scheme" out there is starting a religion. and yet, they still believe. I'm not so sure they "are smarter than this", stupidity never ceases to amaze.

properly that is a chilled topic! First, The deliver Who Sang (i imagine that turned right into a guiding theory) is by technique of Anne McCaffrey. She is maximum acceptable widely used for her fantasy, yet i really loved her Crystal Singer trilogy (woman with music expertise yet no longer sufficient skills "sings" crystal for a residing - tremendous pay, notwithstanding it finally ends up making you loopy). Piers Anthony become suggested, and for him, my in demand is the Adept sequence. that's about a guy with 2 diverse roles in 2 diverse dimensions. because that's been awhile on the grounds that I examine Crystal Singer and Adept, i'm no longer effective about their mature content fabric. i'm effective there is not any longer some thing wide, although i imagine both important characters finally end up in relationships in some unspecified time sooner or later. someone also suggested Uglies. that is area of a chain (it become 3 - yet another popping out quickly) by technique of Scott Westerfeld. once you turn 16, you bypass from being an gruesome to a exceptionally, consistent with an operation. they change you on the exterior and also, make some adjustments that would want to't be considered. The others are Pretties, Specials and Extras. similar author wrote Peeps and The very last Days. Peeps are parasite positives, or vampires. that's set in lengthy island. no longer your ordinary vampire e book, because that's no longer a lot about creatures of the evening searching for victims, yet about why parasite positives are without caution being created and what is going to be occurring below the floor. those are YA. i'm no longer effective if all of us suggested Dune yet. (I regarded decrease back and that is suggested. there are various books contained in the sequence now, consisting of his son writing it, too.) that is by technique of Frank Herbert. A planet of sand and spice, the position tears shed would properly be the lack of existence of you. The e book is exceptionally efficient and the movie, properly, no longer the most acceptable, yet I nonetheless chanced on it alluring. have relaxing!

I think there are two kinds of people who believe in Scintology and Dianetics, -- the smart kind that does it as a PR trick and gives them access to all sort of equally smart people with connections, and the other kind, people as desperate or as terminally naive as to believe that BS. I mean, if you read the secret doctrine of Scientology, you will in fact discover that it is absurdly less believable than anything you are likely tin find in the Bible or other mainstream religiouis books. The Scientology doctrine is so absurd that it borders on outright stupidity. Hubbard created this "religion" with the purpose of making money, as he freely admitted.

Same way they did for a 3rd century science fiction book, I assume.

Same way they fell for the "She Said 'Yes'" fiction after Columbine, and the "Intelligent Design" science fiction pushed by answersingenesis and the like.

Because it is the *in thing* for all the beautiful people. And as for intelligence...well I think we all know the answer to that one.
