YES! Marriage is eternal, family is eternal!. Family is the most sarcred organization that exists and marriage between a man and a woman is a sacred covenant. It is meant to be eternal. The relationships we cultivate in this life are forever.

YES! Marriage CAN be eternal...IF your marriage is sealed in the right place and by the right authority. Think about it, when most people are married, the officiator says "til death do you part" or something along those lines, because that is all the authority they have.
BUT, if your marriage is solemnized by the right authority, which is the everlasting Priesthood of God, then your marriage and family unit will be in full force after this life - which is also contingent upon remaining faithful to covenants and promises entered into in the temple.

Matt. 16: 19
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Those "keys" are powers of the priesthood, which was restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith by the power of Almighty God. The power is real. I am sealed to my husband for all eternity - I cannot imagine spending eternity without him or my family! Wouldn't a loving Heavenly Father make it possible for us to have those relationships after this life? He HAS - if we do as he asks.
Also, eternal marriage is a requirement for entrance into the Celestial Kingdom, where God and Jesus Christ will dwell forever and the only Kingdom where the family unit and marriage will exist.
If you want to know more, ask me or contact the local LDS missionaries, they will answer any question you have!

No, marriage is not eternal. That's why the marriage vows specifically state, "until death do us part". The marriage ends at the moment of the death of one of the parties. If that were not so, then remarriage after the death of a spouse would constitute polygamy. Jesus was asked this question, and He clearly stated that in heaven there is no such thing as marriage.

Mat 22:23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

Mat 22:24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

Mat 22:25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

Mat 22:26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

Mat 22:27 And last of all the woman died also.

Mat 22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

Mat 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

No. Christ said that in Heaven, people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; we will be like the angels of Heaven. You may see your spouse there and recognize him/her, and you may continue to have that special relationship, but you will no longer be married.

No one knows anything for sure sweetie. I believe that the answer to your question is yes, in some cases. I believe that we live many lives. It is not at all uncommon for two souls to be married to each other in many different lifetimes.

I believe its a one-lifetime-thing. And I'm a firm believer in reincarnation.

A woman I used to be married to in a previous life is now only a good friend to me.

Biblically, death puts an end to marriage.
