NO! NO NO NO!
Exercise is always good and it is a pure myth that heavy exercise will stunt your growth! When I had a massive growth spurt, I needed to start exercising because I got really long legs with no muscle to support them in my after school activities. The only way it can stunt your growth is if they try to over do it. Doing an absurd amount of weight can injure knee caps, arms, shoulders, ect. Being injured CAN affect growth, BUT, the kid should know their limits.

Thats BS. First off the myth goes only with weight lifting.
Yea it seems like it would, but think, weight lifting is basically putting your body through full ranges of motion, all it does is help. Plus you don't weight lift for long enough to actually make a difference in growth, sleeping incorrectly would put a greater effect onto your body than weight lifting.

convinced, weight lifting does stunt boom. in accordance to what you're lifting now, i ought to assert that your boom certainly has been fairly stunted. The bones are meant to augment lengthy, yet in case you position one hundred thirty 5 lbs stress on them always, they're going to boost huge quite of lengthy. it is how boom is stunted through weight lifting. For the destiny, you'll nonetheless boost throughout the time of your puberty and teen years yet no longer besides as you've without heavy weight lifting. I propose you chop back lower back somewhat, provide your bones some relax to augment. P.S: That explains what number body builders are particularly short.

only muscle development, not cardio. when kids/people develop a lot of muscle mass at an early age, primarily through lifting weights, it can cause a slow-down in their growth. this really only affects height, and the person has to be an avid weight lifter, which most kids aren't. besides, this can apply to anyone who hasn't completed their growth - doesn't matter the age.
