Other people seem to know more about other people's religions and beliefs better than the individuals themselves?

I see so many answers of people stating as fact about other religions, when they clearly know absolutely nothing, no wonder everyone is always argueing in here?

Did you ask that just to start an argument? lol...
doesn't really matter to me because I only read what I want, and what does not pertain to me I just let it go..... No need to argue, just BE.

I don't know how funny I find it.

My experience is that people who are intelligent and skeptical make it their business to read up on and find out about any number of things. Then when the time comes to discuss it...they often are skeptical, intelligent, and informed. Whereas people who are innocent, sheltered, or just dumb often believe what they are taught by people they trust. As long as they trust good people there is nothing inherently wrong with this practice as many people are too stupid to be making their own conclusions.

So the reality becomes...its rare to meet someone who has a lot of faith in their personal beliefs that also has a vast broad knowledge of their belief system.

I am charismatic. I am a follower of Christ. I am a bible believer. I am a creationist. I believe in healing. I believe in prophesy. I believe that we can interact with God. And I enjoy defending those beliefs.

I speak from experience on this one. Catholic bashers come here and tell me that we "worship the Virgin Mary" or that we listen to the Pope rather than read the Bible, etc.

Nothing could be farther from the truth, and yet people choose to believe what someone told them instead of studying and find out the truth for themselves. Inevitably, it starts a big argument, and the whole thing is pretty silly.

As far as I'm concerned, if you haven't studied what another religion believes or you're too close-minded to accept what a member of that religion tells you, then your opinion isn't worth much.

It doesn't really matter to most people. They go with the croud, or whatever label of religion their family and frineds pick out. That's where the pats on the back are.

If you ask most fanatics to explain their beliefs in their own words (instead of just giving the numbers of passages of scripture), they get annoyed. They DON'T KNOW themselves what it's about.

HI
I agree there are so many misconceptions about my belief I believe like the JWs and it is rumored that they don't believe in Christ but they do. It is terrible.
