excellent question!!
first they need to build the space station. Then manufacture the giant fans shaped like sails - the fans could rotate like solar panels and in this way they would alternatively block the sun at different regions. its not the blowing which most people think - thats impossible - but rather the blocking of solar wind - this is what heats up the atmosphere by building the sails large enough and positioning them between the earth and moon ( gravity is equalised at a region ) then you could reduce the solar glare by as much as 15%. its not that expensive either - probably in the region of $5 billion. or less than all the measures now been proposed for carbon taxes - which incidentally you and i will pay thru taxes at the mercy of petroleum companies which have earned trillions of dollars. Keep asking these question and ignore the deluders - theyre not think laterally ! 3660 sq Kms should do the job!

I hope you're not serious! What causes global warming is Co2 in the atmosphere. The higher the concentration the hotter it will get, the Co2 in parts per million is at historic record levels. If you want to cool the earth stop emitting Co2, reduce the population of the earth, stop having babies or people shouldn't live so long, with the cost of medical care going up the later is more probable.
Vegetation recoups Co2 from the atmosphere. As the population grows the vegetation decreases. The forests are being slaughtered, for the lack of a better word, but the earth is a living thing of which vegetation, trees, grass etc. are part of and reduce the Co2 level. Population growth is literally, "killing us."

Because the energy we would need to power these fans would make global warming even worse. plus if the fans are in space there would be nothing to blow at the earth

Why waste all of that electrical energy powering the fans? Just built a giant umbrella to shield the excess sunlight from the earth.

i wish you at the instant are no longer severe! What reasons international warming is Co2 interior our surroundings. the greater desirable the concentration the hotter it will get, the Co2 in components according to million is at historic checklist tiers. in case you opt to relax the earth stop emitting Co2, scale back the inhabitants of the earth, stop having infants or persons shouldn't stay so long, with the fee of scientific care going up the later is greater probable. flowers recoups Co2 from our surroundings. because of the fact the inhabitants grows the flowers decreases. The forests are being slaughtered, for the dearth of a bigger be conscious, however the earth is a residing factor of which flowers, wood, grass etc. Are a factor of and shrink the Co2 diploma. inhabitants progression is fairly, "killing us."

Damned silly question , but I do not see why the boffins could not come up with an Ozone factory that they could send up, they manage to invent the gas that messed it up so now they can put it right, it would be money well spent for once..... Oh and I vote to send the Italian fans up there as with all that arm waving it would cool things a bit

Because there is no air in space, fans don't work.
But we could put sun shades in space. See the source.

Thats a silly idea - it would be more sensible to just put the earth inside a giant refrigerator.
