Do you have an aunt, grandma, or some other other woman that you can talk to? As for going to the doctor see if your best friend will go with you.

Who told you that you need to go to the doctor to get married? Even if it's your first time having sex, you still don't need to go to the doctor unless you want to get on birth control. If you are over 18, you probably should have been to an OB/GYN already, so ask your doctor about getting set up with one.

As far as general help, try webmed or ivillage or something like that where you can do your own research and answer your own questions.

For what you should look like on your wedding night, we do not know you or your husband. Have you tried asking him or following your instincts?

Good luck to you.

Dont u have another female relative? a cousin, an aunt etc..
just try to talk to someone, that will make you feel at ease. Try to do some research on the net.
whatever way u look for your husband, should not matter as long as you love each other.
try not to think about it too much, otherwise when that time comes, u wont be thinkin about how beautiful it can be, but what u look like, and u dont want that to happen!

Check with your friends for a recommendation for a gynecologist. You might be more comfortable with a female doctor. Just tell the office you want to make an appointment for a routine exam. The doctor will check your weight, blood pressure, check your breasts for lumps, and do a pelvic exam. It might be a little uncomfortable, but shouldn't be painful. Doctors usually explain everything they are doing, even if you have had many exams, but be sure to tell the doctor this is your first. He or she will be sure to explain everything in detail. As far as questions to ask, I would imagine birth control might be something you will want to discuss, as well as any questions you might have about losing your virginity. Believe me, they have heard it all, so don't be embarrassed to ask questions. Good luck!

Yes, you need to go to the gyno, and its not that big of a deal I promise. they will take all your vital signs like blood pressure, then they will ask you to undress and you put on a gown and you put legs up in stirrups and they do a pap smear on you and check to make sure everythings ok, it doesnt hurt i promise, they insert a speculum that allows the dr to have easy access to swap your cervix and then they will remove it and do a manual exam....seriously tho it takes less than 5 mins and doesn't hurt a bit, its just a little awkward. if you want to get on birth control of some sort you will need to talk to the dr about it while your there....no biggy. as far as what to look like, thats kinda up to you and how you feel the sexiest and most comfortable, get some lingerie that you find pretty and roll with it, I can't tell you dos and don'ts for that cuz everybody has different taste. good luck with all this and maybe you have an aunt or friends mom you can talk about this stuff to? also, here are some sites that have what goes on in the drs office layed out so you will know what to expect. www.beinggirl.com www.nuvaring.com

why would you have to go to the doctors? I'm getting married and I'm not going. I don't get it. You don't need a mom or a mother in law to plan a wedding. You can do it yourself. Check out www.theknot.com It's a lot of help and you'll find some great resources.

If you can afford it then try going with a wedding planner. Or in some bridal magazines there is the wedding planner quide calendar thing. That really helped me put it into perspective. Or even try and get the grooms' mother to help you or something. And some nice lingerie would probably be nice. ;) Also, the only thing i think you need the doctor for is sometimes to get the marriage certifcate you will need to get blood tests done. idk why but that's what the bridal magazine said. lol

If you're talking about a blood test, that's no big deal. You really don't need to go to a gynecologist unless you're wanting birth control. I won't lie going to a gynecologist isn't any fun, but it isn't that terrible either. Take a close girlfriend with you, if you do go. Talk to your fiance, he will help you through this better than anyone else could.

Look up the requirements for a marriage certificate in your state. Some states do not need you to go to a doctor, they just need signatures and identification.

Also check out http://www.theknot.com for assistance.

Do you have any women relatives that could help you out?

Just relax and let it go on its own. Dont worry on how you should look like he loves you and is marrying you. just wear a nice white silk lingere. But the main thing i can tell you is relax even if you plan your firts night with him its not gonna be at all the way you planned.
