It depends what you want. For sunshine - have you tried the south of Italy? It's totally laid back. You will not want to come home.
For a city holiday - New York. BLOODY AMAZING! It's like everything you thought it was, times 100! There is too much to do! I can give you a list of fantastic things to see and do, much of which is not in the handbooks. Arrange it all with Virgin and fly via JFK Airport- have a shuttle from JFK to your hotel (Milford Plaza is great - airline staff stay there).

I enormously advise la in case you like beaches, sunshine, procuring and large foodstuff. some eye-catching beaches contain Malibu, Santa Monica and Redondo, yet Venice coastline is somewhat rundown. My well-known procuring department shops are The Grove at Farmers industry, Westfield Century city and the third highway prom in Santa Monica. Southern California is sunny all 365 days around with occasional rain, i became there final November-December(wintry climate) and that i felt very mushy wearing short sleeved shirts on a daily basis.

Well Ms depends what you like and want to do. Alaska Is great, Bermuda is great as is lots of others. You need to decide how long you want to go for and how much you are willing to spend. A cruise offers alot of extras that are all included in 1 price.
Good Luck & where ever you go hope you ENJOY it.

Any beach in Thailand. The most beautiful beaches that I've ever seen - it's really cheap when you're there and the Thai people (outside of Bangkok) are fantastic.

Difficult to answer, it depends what you want.
The Maldives are good for total relaxation but not cheap, don't go to one of the cheaper islands, you'll regret it.
