Gondola ride at Newport Beach?

I am taking my fiance on a Gondola ride at Newport beach on Valentine's day. I was wondering if anyone has done this and is it worth the $100 for 1 hr?

for $65 you can just go up the coast a bit to Naples

I've been on one in Redondo Beach and it was the worst experience ever.

Unless you are in Venice Italy, find somethine else to do on Valentines day! Take her to a romantic dinner!
