Actually I work as service manager at a used car lot, and we by a couple a month. Not all are high mile vehicles,in fact many are very low mileage, and Enterprise takes very good care of their cars. Still, as with any used car it is a good idea to have it checked by a mechanic that you can trust before sighning anything

A little info for all of you looking at that row of "Certified" used vehicles that are the current model year and have 10 or 20 or 30 thousand miles on them. Yes, they are certified. They had a more thorough inspection done before hitting the lot, and they usually carry additional warranty. Most of them were RENTALS. Thats right. Hertz and all their competitors rent them out, then take 'em to the auction, where dealers buy 'em as cheap as they can, certify them and call them a program car, and most won't tell you if it was a rental(if the salesman even knows) unless you ask. And seriously, do you think hard braking and heavy accelerating is really THAT hard on most vehicles nowadays? No. But remember this. When it comes to MOST vehicles, you get what you pay for. If you buy the cheapest used car you can find, there is a reason it is the cheapest. Do your research. Have a carfax run on any used vehicle before you sign the deal: know you are getting something that hasnt been in any major accidents or something. It's no guarantee that the vehicle is perfect, but it's better than not knowing about its past. Good luck!

I have never bought a car from Enterprise, but I have rented cars from them on many occasions. I have had nothing but positive experiences from Enterprise and I would not rent a car from anyone else. I had thought about buying my next car from them when the time is right. Best of luck to you.

At the risk of jailtime, heavy fines, and other legal issues they will never admit to tampering with their cars' mileage.... but most do. I've known people in the past who made a living doing that for not only major rental car agencies, but also law enforcement vehicles.

I have never bought a used car from them but I wouldn't. So many people have used them and they usually have high mileage. They have had all of thier maintence and all of that, but so many people have drove them and they are really not that much cheaper then just buying one from a regualar used car dealer that it isn't even worth it.

not me but i wouldn't do it. those cars have a lot of miles on them and many people that rent them might be a little car ignorant and treat it like crap due to the fact that its not really theirs. so i wouldn't recomend it

i would never buy a rental car. have you seen the way some people drive those things. a normally responsible person gets behind the wheel of a rental and they think they are marrio andretti.
