Girls, how do you feel about guys who go to bars/clubs on their own? Would this bother you, or alter your perception of him? Would this make him seem more aproachable, more confident (maybe more attractive?) or have the reverse affect? With there being more single ppl around, is the stigma of a guy being on a night out alone justified?

I work away on business quite a lot and like to explore wherever Im stayin, which usually means sampling the nightlife. However, even when Im not working, Ive been out on my own... and to tell you the truth I enjoy it more than being with mates as we always end up talking about the same things (work usually!) and it bores the hell outta me. I crave the excitment of going out, not knowing who i'll meet and jus making conversation with whoeva! I also decide where to go and when :)

Cheers everyone. Interestingly, the girls find this quite acceptable, whereas the blokes tend to have more of an issue with it!

Well in alot of ways its easier for a female to approach a man who is by himself besides having all his friends around. Sometimes females wont approach a male just because there are so many guys around and the possiblily of getting turned down with a crowed watching her every move. It also shows a little confidence about the guy because he doesnt have to be with people just go have a good time. Confidence is always sexy in a man (its just the over-confidence that can be a turn off!) So go out and enjoy yourself just make yourself mobile and socialable if you do go to the club sometimes when you sit in just one spot it makes a female wonder if your waiting on someone. Hope I helped out some with your question.

Everyone has got a personal space and loves privacy and would like to be lonely, since thats the only time they got to think about their future. So once in a while if he goes alone, it could be accepted. To make loneliness a habit, is not good though.

I thing it is sexy to see a man alone in a nightclub as long as he does not seem to stare all the time and seem like he is undressing every woman around. Depends on the guy a lot. As long as he seems intelligent, normal and not on a hunt for women I find that attractive.

well it seems more guys disagree with this because of man pride and they fear that other ppl will judge them as a loner ect. and the majority of people will probably wonder why youve gone on your and whether you have any friends..personally i wouldnt do it.. but then again i dont find anything wrong with it, do what you want to do and what makes you happy!!!!! i think you would seem more approachable because you wont have a big group of men perving and being intimidating (your mates) around you.

Going to a pub alone after work is fine. You meet the locals and usually end up having a laugh. But night clubs? Just no!

Some people may find it odd or predatory , but I think you sound quite sociable. To just go to a place and strike up a conversation witha stranger so easily sounds quite friendly , although it depends on how you do it.

I say good luck to you, I've been to night clubs waiting for my mates to turn up. Standing there on my own for to long makes me feel very anxious & self conscious . I keep thinking other people are looking at me & saying " look @ 'Billy no mates' over
their, what a saddo".

I usually never go for guys that are in a bar by themselves. It make me feel like he is lonely and really not a people person. That is might a little borring too just for a simple fact on a night out he is not with his boys....

I congradulate you on being able to go out alone. Not many people can deal with their own company. This tells me that you are comfortable and confident in yourself as a person.

I think a guy on his own is alot more interesting than to see a group of guys coming in together. Then it looks as though they have one mission only.
