yes there are, several actually... and some free. i dont blame you, you just want to see what they are exposed to.
i have a parent, student site that lists that and more.
http://www.angelfire.com/nj4/njcomputerchick/
just go to my site; scroll down and on the right find "stalking and cyber stalking", i have a list, so pick through and find what you need.
if its still not what you want, email me and i will find you something available to protect your child(ren).

Yes, there is software you can download that will tell you where your child has been going on the internet which is better then the 'history'
Unfortunalty, I am sorry to say that I don't know what the program is called.
I suggest asking around at computer stores, small stores and privatly owned ones normally have the *nerds* working and they usually have answers to everything, and know where to find the options for free. Or you can try Best Buys geek squad. ( go to the store and just ask of them.) The big chains might only suggest things you have to buy.
*Nerd* is used affectionatly :)

Just check the internet history. Also, check the files (cookies).

Get something like NetNanny or something similar. If there's any cost to it, IMO - it's worth it to keep your kid safe.
As for myspace - if you know their myspace name, you can look at their profile by typing in: www.myspace.com/
