a teenager in 18 is considered as an adult from the time being. since there are tight relationships in a classical turkish family, there is no celebration and generally, the situation of being a just 18, does not create any difference; only response to the laws maybe. the child goes on to live with his/her family, until s/he can stand on his/her own foots. a wedding? well, the only difference of turkish weddings from cristian weddings must be the musical instruments which make people more exhilarated instead of being more emotional, i think. the rest is the same; bridegroom's and bride's wearings, the same typical questions, same answers (yes or no :))
however, turkish culture has a wide meaning; a wedding might be celebrated really different in the north places according to the south places or in the west according to the east places in Turkey, but, the summary of a turkish wedding is as i wrote above...

About the mid-level weddings, after the official arrangement being signed, under the instrucions of the municipal official on behalf of the public, the celebration part begins. People usually hire big halls, and musicians to play the native songs, and they dance and amuse themselves all night long. Then by the end of the day the married couple leaves the crowd behind and move to their honeymoon accomodation.

18 as above.. I was taken to a bar for "the first time"(that's what they thought;o) ) by my mum&dad on my 18th birthday as a little celebration for my first adult day, so most do celebrate it... 21st birthday is not a special one in Turkey like it is in this country..
A classic Turkish wedding usually lasts up to 3 days and everyone eats, drinks and dances like crazy, really nice as there's usually live music, bride receives lots of gold and money that usually helps the new couple to buy what they need for their new home...
