just purchased it .....don't know how to switch to the lcd view .....i wanna see views on the lcd before shooting....i hope that sony didn't forget that with my camera coz it will be a disaster for me ....honestly i hate using the viewfinder ...thanx in advance

If you do nt like using the viewfinder its best stick with a Point & Shoot camera . The olympus is one of the few DSLRs that has live preview on LCD . Up until recently all SLRs were viewfinder only .
to be honest it does defeat the purpose of a SLR using the LCD you have a lot more control using viewfinder especially using longer lens .

You can not preview the image in the viewfinder in any DSLR except the Olympus, as smartass says. It may seem like a throwback to you, but before digital cameras, this was the only way to take a picture. Look through the viewfinder, frame your picture and shoot.
